Pics- Swap meet Bacchus Marsh 05
65busser - October 2nd, 2005 at 07:30 PM

What a ripping day. Great turnout. Bit of a show too with cars parked on the grounds this year. Lots of familiar faces, quite a few new cars, lots of sellers and lots of great stuff to be had.
Congrats to the organisers and thanks.

Type 34's everywhere. This one, a two tone blue which looked real nice but got away early, lovely red one we see a bit of and a rat on a trailer which sold real early.
Common as muck!!!
Green KG was better than the pic.

Brad you are right about the Type 3 Karmmans they are all coming outta the wood work. Be nice to have as many as we can in our own area at the DOVW.

65busser - October 2nd, 2005 at 08:03 PM

Had a great drive home. That a bit of Tofu on my rear vision?

The way traffic should be....Splitty in front, bug in the rear view.

Tom with the Cream Split worked out what the guage on the right does on the way home. Thanks Tofu for the helping hand.

It was a great day, plenty of socialising amongst the wheelin'n dealing, and a refreshing variation to the more usual "car show + swapmeet in the background" format. I actually thought this was a privately run event (having been mis-informed a couple of years ago) and was slightly surprised to see it run by volunteers from the VWCV (of which I'm a member). Many thanks to Eric & all the other VWCV members for the successful organising!!

G'day,
Great pics everyone!!!, makes me very homesick seeing them all. Jenz, that SA visitor belongs to my Daughter and Husband and is fitted with 1916 engine, thanks for the pic, when I saw it I relized its nearly 18 months since I last saw that Splitty.
Cheers, Ian.

Hey Ian...... it's such a beautiful splittie....and I probably walk by your daughter and her hubby a few times as I did the rounds of the stalls and never realized ... do they come onto the forum at all?

A couple more picsof the splittie ... I must have one leg shorter than the other by the looks of the rear window shot!! Mmmmm I did like it a lot :D

G'day BajaChris,
That would be it, Rhett (PHAT BUG) works there (he test drives ADIs new Bushmaster Troop Carriers) and is looking after it for his sister and bro-in-law.
Yeah it is a nice one.
Cheers, Ian.
