Down sizing pics HELP!!!

Please can someone help me find a free download or tell me where to find a downsizing program to buy.
I tried InfraView but didn't know where to start, bit of a technopleagec,

use the search at the top of the page-"resizing"-fill out the time box to from the begining, then take your pick! i use the microsoft one but it only makes pics smaller.

With Irfanview open picture as jpeg

Click -
Image
Resize – and set at 600 x 400 and nice large size


Then click –
File
“SAVE AS” and click options and there is a slider bar
Set it at 50


That should set the picture nice and big and only about 40kb



IF it is still over
click –
File
“SAVE AS” and click options and there is a slider bar
Set it at 30??

Or just host the pics online (if you are having trouble putting them in threads) somewhere like http://www.photobucket.com  Then you can alter it online as well as having an immediate url to link your pics to.

Infraview is free and easy. I am not a computer person and I find it easy.

i open it in "paint" then "image" at top bar then "stretch/skew" then change 100% to 30% brings the size down to about 39 easy as

Just downloaded Infranview and it works a charm, heaps easier than what i had been doing.
