Good Quality Pop-Out Seals - Where from?
Special Air Service - October 6th, 2005 at 09:47 PM

I need to get some new seals and hinge covers for the pop-outs I'm installing in my Beetle and wanted to know who sells decent ones. I dont want to fork out the cash for crap that will only last a year or so. So if youve got some youve had for a while that your happy with let me know who you got them off. No need to tell me "this place sells shit" just tell me your good experiences.
Cheers

I bought mine from vintage veedub in sydney theyre ok
but my cars live in a garage not under a tree or in the sun
and I d bet that no matter where you buy em you get exactly the same thing pop out are rare in australia but extreme weather isnt

I am pretty sure that you would be able to get them from classic veedub in Rydlemere,
They are web based also, so you should be able to get things sent up there.
I need the same thing as you, and that is where i will be shopping.

Lee.

If you intend on replacing the glass to frame seal then talk to Mike at Vintage

hes has done a few sets and from memory he made a jig to re assemble the bloody things together as with new rubbers there a pain in the bum to get back into shape and together again. Give him a call 9789-1777

Are they early or late model windows.

Yeah I,m hoping to do all the seals, and they are late models.
