There is a car company in France that makes modern day 356's and for the life of me, I cant remember the name. I saw the cars at the Frankfurt motor show a few years ago and all that rings a bell is something like PGR????

chesill speedsters in the u.k. make a fine repro 356 kit.

i run 356A speedster drums all round on my '54' oval.
had to source rebuild parts for them from a small porsche place in willoughby ohio in the states, lucky for me the car came with them ready fitted,as it was an ex-rally car that was campaigned in the 60's .

I was offered one of those for $300 (three HUNDRED!!!!!) without motor in 1969, but that was 6 weeks pay for me at the time so I passed it up. A bloke (now a freind of mine) bought it, put a 1300 Beetle motor in it, got it registered and drove around for 6 months then sojd it for $800. I kick myself sometimes but he kicks himself a lot harder.
Cheers, Ian.
