Hi
Hope I havent missed anything, I just got back from a month in Scotland & Ireland. Only saw a few aircoolers over there, but watercoolled VWs and
Audis are everywhere, even saw a few VW Phaetons around Glasgow, in some car parks or traffic lines nearly every car was a from VAG.

welcome back....was there in Jan/Feb ... seemed Audi A4 TDi's are the default car over there now....and boy do they shift....
Steve,
If you were near the west coast of Ireland (near Westport) you could of picked up my 68 bug thats in my Dad's garage, and drove it around the emerald
isle and run in the new motor I've put in it!
I'm sure you had a good time.
Cheers
Steve

Hi
Thanks for the offer Steve, I did see a nice silver 1303 Cabrio in Dublin, and a few bays here and there. We were mainly on the East coast and down
south, stayed in a converted barn near Avoca then down too Kilkenny.
Wont complain about our petrol prices, around 96 P per litre in Scotland = $2.24 AU per litre and in Ireland it was around 116 Euro per litre = $1.85
AU per litre at least it was 95 octane. And a 1/4 ponder worked out to be about $9.00 AU, thats with no meal deal.
After visting Ireland I now know where the words for the song came from, "where the streets have no name" lovely place, but it took me 2 1/2 hours
to drive the hire car back from Dublin to Dublin south after getting lost many times and asking directions from lovely people who really had no
idea.
Steve
Cheers Beers....back to work ha ha
good finally
