Rain
VWMA Editor - October 16th, 2005 at 07:53 AM

It's finally raining in Brisbane. I know this might spoil the German Car Show today, but you can't begrudge a little of the good stuff after months of drought. It also means the Kombi looks a little cleaner.

Yay! The Wet stuff is falling on the coast too ... thankfully it's not that solid frozen stuff that feel from the sky on Wednesday and damamged almost everything within a 15km radius of where I live.....

Bring on the rain! :D

We arrived at the park at 6am to set up this morning. The football club had put up a Marque for the sausage sizzle and even though it was reasonably dry there were still 'rivers' running under it. How disappointing................but the good news is that we are trying again in 2 weeks time....on the 30th October. Hopefully the council haven't booked the park out to anyone else then, but we will keep you informed.

In the meantime, lets enjoy the rain and watch the grass, plants etc thrive and turn green again, and, of course, make everything grow so we have to mow, weed etc.

hey...try moving in the rain!

bugger me if we weren't moving all BIg a gear out of my house and into his new joint, only for it to pour down on us...everyone had to change a number of times between the loads...

however...made up for it...all had dinner at sizzlers...(at least it wasnt maccas)

but at least his stuff is gone....i can see the floor again...and my house is almost completely thru the transformation.

Pity about having missed the car show...

But yeah...great having rain...all my new plants will thrive and look great in time for summer...woooohooooooo

Dude, what's ya problem. I used to love the rain in my old beetle. Sure the screen used to fog up a bit. But there were about 5 corners I drove round daily that were tops for drifting around. :P

Besides...we actually need the rain. People are going broke and loosing all their livestock and property coz of the drought. Infact it's the worst drought in 50 years. It wouldn't hurt you to look past your own situation for a second.:vader

You're right about Qld, I was in the outback earlier this year, near Ipswich and it was incredibably dry, not sure how people survive out there at all
