Hey, i realised lately i have fallen off the social scene map, what with uni and working like a slave to my job. Im sick of going out to all the same crap places when i do go out. Id like to know where do all the vw people go out for a bit of a party in brisbane, i rather like the valley, but id like someone to suggest if there are any underground vw nightclubs or pubs where you can have a beer, even maybe a lime vodka and soda and talk vws.

yeah let me know too! Hey beetlegirl, are you going to head down to the Gold Coast VW club day at the end of November? Maybe we could meet up and say hi...and try to find a place for any VW fans to hang out in brissie and chat and try the vodka!

i dont know of any vw places per se...:P and i know how you feel beetlegirl... uni 5 days a week and work 4 nights a week doesnt leave much time for study let alone a social life!

once exams are over (in 2 weeks time) i would be more than happy to get together with some dubbers... somewhere nice with cheap drinks...

how about the pavillion (west end) on a sunday afternoon (4-7pm) for cocktails (1/2 price!!!)

It is..............also keep your eyes out in Club Chat as sometimes Judy from Byron Klub VW organises an All Girls Dub Day, where we get to abscond with the cars and go shopping.....do lunch......and anything that is suggested. Unfortunately one earlier in the year was cancelled as Judy's car broke the day before, and there was another one planned but the Gold Coast Show was moved to that date..........Daughter came to a couple of days and had a ball

the pavillion sounds great for a sunday afternoon, however not this sunday afternoon as i have to work night duty and will probably be sleeping and i really shouldnt be drunk when i go to work. However, my last uni exam is on saturday at 8:30am (who the !#$* has an exam on a saturday morning!!!!) and i will be heading to the normanby around midday to drown my sorrows.... anyone is welcome to come, ill be the one singing powderfinger dancing (stumbling) on the tables.

Okay, if anyone is free ill be drinking midday saturday at the normanby, just a stones throw from my place (i love that) and thats my last exam so after that im free to drink at any time except when im working. which will be all the time because about 2 hours ago i decided im going to europe and the uk in january and february. how exciting!!!! my life has suddenly gone from crap to great. its true what they say on the ad for mental health on channel 7, something to look forward to helps!!!!!!

oh, and boys are welcome to join the ladies club, especially if they are tall, drive a vw, appreciate music like powderfinger, spiderbait and the white stripes and are politically left wing.....

Hi there, I am keen to meet for drinks and a bite to eat also, I am a male with four Dubs, I am tall and like the music mentioned above, I don't go to uni though, I have two trades up my sleeve one in cooking and the other in aviation engineering so yes I can help fix your dubs, if need be. Meeting up for drinks sounds good as i do not go out much, and would be good to hang with people with same interests, cheers Damien.
