shipping seats: Adelaide to Melbourne?
ruckus - December 9th, 2005 at 04:56 PM

Any ideas? Apparrently I've got some seats for my '54 bug sitting in Adelaide that need to come home to Melbourne (preferably Geelong).

Anyone got any theories?

The limits for AusPost are 105cm high (longest dimension) and 140cm girth. IF you can fold the seats as much as you can, you might be able to have them shrink wrapped (at pack n send for example) and shipped individually for about $18.50 each.
If not you'll need a courier which will cost a fair bit more.

Dude.

I've got lots of theories!

About transport,
what can work is if the sender can get freight to a depot, ands you organise with a freight company for it to be picked up by you, COD. Some of them want accounts set up. And that can avoid that scenario.

lots of company's run Adelaide - Melb, but they'll all take care, and no responsibility.

What was Mc Cafferty's bus until recently has a depot in Moorabbin & will deliver to the door.
You just have to make sure what you're sending can be handled without maming someone. They will do door to door as well.
Really inexpensive and quick.
