the original endless summer i used to own the woody wagon the boys drove through australia in
'Summer City' 1977
Starring Mel Gibson as 'Scallop',
Co-starring Steve Bisley, aka 'The Biz',
Guest starring Abigail.
Not a heap of surfing.
But they were always heading for the beach.
In an old heap with 'NRNR' scrawled across the boot, if I recall correctly.
Most of the surfing scenes were 'solarised' to disguise the fact that stunt surfers were used.
Of course, there's always 'Crystal Voyager"
CRYSTAL VOYAGER,
Greenough and Nat TRIPPING!
Greenough,
" I built the coup after a dream i had one night, I was on and island and people from outer space visited me there. I got to the island in a covered
runabout like a car , It was comfortable and seemed like a good idea so i built the coup"
Well I remember the conditions back then so I can undersatand it.
Mitchell
they must have been on it in crystal voyager deffinatly a spin out
hang and words are my favourite at themoment, stepping into liquid is wicked as well
Definately Morning of the Earth, and Sprout is a goodin...Shelter is another favourite, shot in and around Byron...
Oh and Blue Crush and Point Break are classics
Oh and North Shore is another classic
Oh and the original Big Wednesday

Yeah I love all the classics but ya gotta give "Thicker than Water" by Jack Johnson a look, his tunes are second to none also.
Tuck in boys.....

I use to love watching Mad Wax.
Its an oldy bud a good one. Awsome soundtrack too
Look out for a video that was a freebie with one of those surf mags years ago called Seven Days, Seven Slaves. See Jake The Snake pull in and crack a Bintang while in the tube. The 45minute video has some totally awesome shit in it.

Check out switch-foot.com if you are into retro surfing and indeed surfing at all.
The creator is a friend of mine who has published a book on the subject with interviews with Greenough, McTavish, MR etc etc. It is a great read.

I've also got Hawaii 9-0 through to 9-5 hidden away somewhere.
Morning of the earth, Northshore.
Bud Brown's surfing the 50's is cool too.
Love the old Gidget movies too.
