it seems most of the men in my family were born in December
8th my grandpa, my dad and my stepdad
19th my other grandpa and my brother
24th my cousin
29th my partner
Today is my grandpas 80th, so yesterday we all met in Ballarat for a family reunion/surprise party for him....my 10 year old son pipes up beforehand
and says "Gee I hope he doesn't have a heart attack from the surprise"
Here's my little bit of christmas cheer...
My bullbar lookin all sparkly!!
This lil fella gets bolted to the dashboard every december!
And this is my back window... there are little coloured budlights that do work but you cant see them in the daytime
For the first time in many years I will be enjoying Christmas!
I have had to work Christmas day for the last 6 years (yes - some Kitchens have to open on the 25th otherwise our regular customers would starve
:alien) .... however, this year Christmas falls on Sunday, which is my day off - and not only this, but the family that owns the business that I work
for have decided that they would like to have their first day off (together) in 26 years, so they are not opening the stores - YIPPEE!!!
Prior to working for this mob, I used to work in retail (for 10 years) and I hated Christmas as it was always really busy before the 25th, then you
had to accept the blame for ruining little Johnnys Christmas as the item that had been purchased from you didn't work/didn't come with batteries/was
too difficult for him to operate/etc (Not to mention that I was always called away to a false alarm in the middle of Xmas lunch - having to drive the
60min round trip just to re-set the alarm). :puke
This year I will be spending Xmas with my parents, grandparents, wife and baby son (his first Xmas!) and I can't wait.
Merry Christmas everyone!
R
March must be the month for lovinnnnnnnnnnn........ I thought spring was?
Most of my family's/friends birthdays are in July.... Xmas in July?

7th - Steve and Sally's baby boy Eli
8th - Longest school friend
10th - Friend Sally
13th - Cousin
18th - Aunt
26th - Uncle
30th - Mine

Now that i'm an adult, xmas doesn't feel as good as it used to be. Just feels like a normal day. Am working heaps this week, tues, wed, thurs and
sat (xmas eve), and maybe boxing day. Not much of a holiday, but atleast i know the money i am saving will be going to something useful.
1stcarbug, I know u live in ipswich but there is trains and all is there? Wanna take a trip to the city? If transport is available. Fun stuff would be
good, i don't get enough of it, and most of the time I am always looking back on the good times yrs ago, and am usually depressed/stressed/bluesy
over so much. Its interesting ,alot of other people i know in the same age group feel the same too.
I think what destroys the xmas is all the commercialisation of it all, and how so many people don't give a crap about xmas and the idea of giving and
are more focused on the matter of taking (and making $$$ from the occasion. Bosses and crap that is, not the humble servant employees).
Its usually a rat race. January is always more fun. :bounce

she looked awsome ! ! !
December ROCKS, Toys R Us opens late and eBay is packed with stuff people are trying to shift. Massive bargain fest....sure it's exy, but schools
out, got 6 weeks off and time to play with the bus and play with all those toys that are still cool, just not available in the old days. I love Xmas.
Sure, there's money to spend not on toys like a couple of car regos, wedding anniversary...ah well, just spend the lot, if you make it then the New
Year will be easy...
Quit bitching and start spending......when it's gone it's gone .... anyone wanna by my BUS?
I got some Christmas lights going on my buggy, pics soon.
