The wheel is actually the wind on park brake, most older locomotives have the same set up.
As to the personality; I watched a tv show many years ago, that acknowledged that if it hadn't been for the war, Hitler would have been remembered as
the greatest statesman in history for how he got Germany out of the depression..

Yes, but like Stalin and other such leaders, some people paid a terrible price because of his policies. That's why we have history, so we can learn
from the horrors and do our best to make sure we have checks to stop those sorts of things happening.

The Nazi regime was responsible for some most amazing innovations of the modern world. However, it was also repsonsible for some of most horendous
crimes against humanity ever seen in a first world country. Did you know that they executed more Gypsies, Nuns/priests and disabled people than Jews?
The Jews are just the well known cases.
Yes Hilter was an amazing leader, but he was also responsible for murder of millions of innocent people.

Sadly, many, many more at the hands of many misguided people who used Christianity for their own ends rather than God's. The question is, is that
what Jesus would want? And the answer we all know is NO. He valued life more highly than anyone else in history and taught others to do so as well.
