Hi People
My CD Rom has died and need to make my CD Burner play sound as it has been set up not to play sounds.

Can anyone help please

pull the red and white speaker wires off the old cdrom and put them on the burner

I had a look for the wires before I posted the question but will check again, But the only thing I found pluged into the back of the CDROM was the riibbon and a pug with about 5 wires that goes into both players.

Yep, the small plug with 5 wires will be for the sound output from the CD drive. Take it out of the old drive and put it into the new burner. Done.

on the back you should have the riibbon and a white power plug with 5 wires, also do you have ont the other side to the white plug have a small black plug with 5 holes but only 2 to 3 wires on it ?
