how here has a notch earlier than oct 62

hey ppl, just want to know who has an earlier notch than me, i have been told that my notch is very early and very desirable, especially in the UK, but stuff them, its all mine,

if you know of any earlier than oct 62, can you please tell me, i really want to know how many of these are around.
but just one question, are the rare?

Not sure on Notches Steve but this Squareback was a fairly early one. I was told it was a 1962. It is in the yard at Barnawartha, Victoria and is (was!) complete with original engine when I last saw it in early 2003. What was the body number of your notch? Could you post a photo of the dash and steering column of your notch so we can have a look at it now.

Mine is sept 62 and i did own onw that was 1806 cars earlier so i assume aug some time

A mate of mine down Tassie had a Notch that was a August 62 model which he used as a beach buggy. It was sold for $200 to a couple of 14 year old kids as a shooting vehcle.

Steve-89, Type 3 s pre 64 have thinner width drums than 64 on cars so they bolt straight on. Later model cars require shorter axles (from a split case gearbox) and axle tubes, if ya need to know how to do it call me.

has anyone here got the link to the site where you can date your car from the chassis number

the best I can find is the samba one and Mine is not listed
I think it's 63' and It has a push button dash. but I would like to know for sure
