If its too big for Australia Post....
HGFS - January 6th, 2006 at 12:06 PM

Anyone ever sent anything international that was too big for aust post???

My visor that I have on ebay at the moment is gonna be 120cm long when its boxed up, the limit is 100cm for international parcel post. A couple of guys from OS have asked about freight costs which has made it interesting.

Ive started some enquiries with some international freight forwarding companies, damn they aren't cheap, lucky I'm not paying:thumb but its a bit embarassing when the freight is looking like costing 3 times what the Visor will.

Anyone have any leads for me???

its easy....... give them your post code (and tell them it's a zip code) and give them UPS's or FEDX's phone number

Thanks for the replies. Karmen since its ebay I don't think they'd wait for the "people courier" thanks anyways though.
When they are in Europe do you think they could pick me up a Split Window Beetle & put it in their suitcase????

Cheers

Australian Air express.

I recieved a large parcel from the US which turned up with these guys.
They don't seem to have great restrictions on size.

Thanks I didn't think of them, I'll be contacting them first thing monday, they aren't answering today. Wish some of these Aus companies did an estimate over the net, like aus post & USPS, oh well. Thanks again.
