Make the trip to newcastle.. you wont need the details bout the illawarra show....plus.... ya'll went to bulli last year.

vw54 - January 10th, 2006 at 12:27 PM

Yep 4 sure

I am heading North unless something else comes up

amazeer - January 10th, 2006 at 04:47 PM

Illawarra contact details

pres: Steve Moane 42261890, 0413725958
sec: Wendy Hilton 42972138
post: PO Box 29 shellharbour Square 2529. Same PO box that I set up about 15 years ago, go figure.

As far as the club is concerned I think it is on life support, but then it has been since... adam first fondled eve. I am a financial member but havent been to an event for a few years now. It is written in the calendar for Feb 12 at sandon point in the last magazine, but no other details.

The committee there deserve medals, must be hard work keeping that flag flying. Well done to them, though I doubt they are on the forum to read this.

It's a pity they are on the same day...

Last year's event was a good one. Nice and casual, good spot (in site of the wind) and just a couple of subjective choice trophies - the best ones to win.

The Illawarra mob put on a pleasant day - they deserve the patronage and support. Having another event on the same day sucks for choice tho...

yeah its a shame 2 events are on the same day each eyar, same with DOVW and the porsche and karmann ghia shows. if they spread them out u could go to a show a couple of times a month instead of all on one weekend, if only things could work out like that.:)

anyway, we would love to have as many of u guys as possible head up to newcastle that weekend for EURO DAY, promises to be a great day...

Hi

I called Steve Moane today its on. I needed to check before I put an add in Zeitschrift, dont worry Sam, I put one in for the Euro day as well.

If anyone goes down to the Gong you can tryout the new Sea Bridge on the way.

Steve

Hi

The worst thing is they won a prize for it, I think it was school kid.

Matt are you looking for any Type 3 parts, drove past a yard full the other day near Bargo.

thanks steve, thats nice of you

vw54 - January 11th, 2006 at 07:38 AM

yeah its agreat effort to put the show on down at the Gong

Wish they could change it to a different date so we dont have a clash

VWFOOL - January 11th, 2006 at 01:45 PM

as i was discussing with a member of flat4, it would be difficult for the euro to change dates because there are about 20 other clubs involved other than the MG Club.
Hopefully next year we can go to 2 cool events in february!

rose - January 11th, 2006 at 07:04 PM

Yes pitty they are both on the same day, last 2 years we have gone to Bulli and it's been great. So this year seen as we live in Newy we are going to take our 4 vw's there and support our local club. I love going to all vw shows it would be great if they where on different days. And also looking forward to going on the one on the 19th of Feb it sounds like it's going to be lots of fun.

vw54 - January 12th, 2006 at 07:09 AM

Yeah I meant for Wollongong show to change the date I was aware of Newcastle and involvement with the other clubs
