dubs by the pub, what to expect

plan to make the trip to ettomogah this year for the dub day. now that i have got the boss convinced that beetle no# 5 should be a goer, just need an opinion from previous years visitors as to the posiblity of findind a good bargain for a project or is it just gonna be full of shiny bugs & buses.

last visit was 5 years ago when it was still a fledgling event.
looking forward to it either way

A damn fine day and a good time never been to one yet that didn't let me down, oh and i also bought a sweet little 66 beetle their two years ago, and it has never let me down. So just go and have a good day. The swapmeet is pretty good too. And even better its at a pub as you know mmmm beer. Cheers Damo.

Its the one just after the Caloundra turnoff on the highway going up the coast.
Always a great day if you love VW's of all kinds.
Plenty of fine examples of the many different types.
Plenty of food, drinks & swap parts avaliable, and something for the kids.
The convoy is always worth being in, leaving from Boondall carpark all the way up the highway.
Its the best VW event in Qld.

Dubs by the Pub has been going since the early 90's so it is hardly a fledgling event. Its the biggest VW Cruise in QLD and has a top venue for the Car Show. Not sure if you will find a new project car there, but there will be plenty of people to talk to that could point you in the right direction.

if the weathers fine it's VW heaven. THE premier VW event in QLD. VW as far as the eye can see crusing the highway. :yes:

There are always some bargain project cars for sale (bargain is really subjective though) - they are not all shiny fancy ones :P

but on the other side of shopping for a bargain theres an entire car park full of VW's to drool over and all us wionderfull people to talk to (modest as well)
