Only had my type 1 dub for a few months after 20 odd years since the last one I had.

Previous owner assured me my current one was a 1600 twin port (which it is, & is registered as one)

Muffler was dodgy and died last week so I spent all my readies (& some) to get a nice standard Ernst NOS 1600 muffler, only to find when I went to fit it that my motor has 1300 twin port style "siamese" manifold heater tube fittings.

I have access to a 36hp and a 40hp single port manifold/heater, can I cut/modify one of them to do the Job? Or can someone help me out with an appropriate manifold/heater and I can fix you up at Newcastle as I should be financial again by then. I also have a collection of stuff I could swap.

I've already booked my campsite and I would really hate to have to turn up in my Korean rice burner.
