Top day for Euro Day in Newcastle
VDUBXTC - February 12th, 2006 at 03:20 PM

I have to say a big well done to everyone who turned out for Euro day today.
we had close to 70 cars last year, this year we had just over 100 cars.
The Merc club that had plans to out stage us with numbers this year turned up with 7 cars.

Here are a few pics of the day.

Special - February 12th, 2006 at 08:11 PM

was a great day! and an awesome turn out, loads of nice cars. the dubs certainly stole the show.

nice to see chloe got a picture :P ('61 beetle with flashkit)

thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable day.

vw54 - February 13th, 2006 at 06:21 AM

Thanks to all the people for organising a great day, I meet up with my old mate i havent seen for 10 or so years. Nice pub on the corner

Sam we had better take over the other side of the park next year and allow plenty of room to lay out the VWs. You should get some proceeds for your club, from the MG club for promoting the show

A small swap site area would be good too

squizy - February 13th, 2006 at 09:48 AM

Top day. Can be summed up in two words.....

the C R U I S E
and the A R R I V A L

Maybe next year it can become a full show with a couple of categories....not necessarily best car categories, but more categories that capture the essence of dubbing.

I think the thing that yesterday showed the other clubs is that dubbers get together no matter what the condition of our car.

kroozzn63 - February 13th, 2006 at 10:24 AM

man, glad i went great kroozz up with kombi123,"scott ,derek, vwfool "sam", adamc "adam" alex hozel and a few others the kroozz up was awesome ,then we camped out on the back of the ute went to the local to watch the local band "secret society" u remember tony, that was there name.
Then met up in the morning when we arrived at the meeting point there was a collection of about 30 of us which scared of a group of ricers they were reving and blowing of theyre blow of valves airbag sus jumping up and down , as we poured into the car park they had to move over for us so they left , I thought we were here then sam said lets go as we approached around the show the guy on the loud hailer said "please be carefull there seems to be an arrival of a large number of volkswagens , then 3 mins later he said oh there still coming around the corner , and you could here the old biddies from the MG club saying oh look at all the volkswagens there still coming ha ha everyone loved it , I was an awesome day some beautiful cars jags mercs lotus porsche morris rolls etc etc and a couple of volksies lol

nice pics, keep em coming .
yeah next year we should get some more

donn - February 13th, 2006 at 07:19 PM

As a newcomer I sorta got lost with all the jargon that I am still coming to grips with, missed the Knights stadium as I thought my buggy wasn't even going to make the park, went like a train on Saturday and nearly didn't go at all on Sunday, then some blokes ( sorry forgot your names) helped me out, dirty idle jet, didn't even have to take a second guess, thanks fellas. Blew me away with what some people do with a krouty, great day.

The owners name is Heath.
and barls is correct about the engine. the throttle body is one made by injection perfection.
He also runs this sweet little injected hillclimb bug.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c249/buggy_adventures/2005_1022Image0082.jpg

You won't find heath on this forum.

email me on what information you want on the car and i will pass it on to him.
jace_t@kooee.com.au

I dare not mention on this forum who built the engine because the thread might be deleted for mentioning his name. :)
