Spent yesterday at the Drags. Was a private track hire and a fantastic day. Not hard to organise and not that expensive either.
Here are a few of my pics from the day...
Dragya crouches to see the lights on his 1st of 40 odd passes!
This 32 Coupe had people looking in my driveway all weekend. The owner came up from Canberra to get to the track hire. Winner of the quickest reaction
trophy with a reaction time of 0.004sec.... most people are happy with a reaction in the 1/100 of a second range.
Charlie Falzon's 1950 Oldsmobile 88. Another "Dago" special that looks the business.
Shane Corr loves to give his '54 Cranbrook a kick in the guts.
Was this the pizza run on Friday night or at the track?
Striking! What more can I say? I reckon I saw this 37 try to go around 37 times...
This big blocked '40 coupe was on the track all day.
Certainly no DOG regardless of what the number plates say. Only 6 cylinders were responsible for that torque twist.
Steve later had a few hairy moments in this T Coupe with a 460 big block.
Humpy Holden warms his tyres before yet another consistent pass. (16 passes within 3/100 of a sec)
Steve now realises how crossed up he was backing out of his burn out.
Good stuff Matt!
You'd think some one could organize some Volksy drags at Easter huh?!
Shouldn't be hard to organise a VW day. Hell, this was a spur of the moment thing followed thru and we are booking again for next year!
Limited to above 10.99 runs only Matt?
Looks like a great day.
how much was it for the day?
alex
and that green ute its awsome! ive seen it at a wed night session
It was $200 per car (included 6 spectators and crew). We had 40 cars.
$135 per 8 for extra spectators.
$50 for extra drivers for already entered cars.
Officially limited to 10.99.
The CBB Racing drag bug (9 second) was going to be able to run until about 2 weeks before. Seems pressure was put on the track to change their mind as
the day was seen as "competition" for another event.
Catering was done by one of the other clubs and the track allowed the cooking facilites etc to be set up near the scrutineering shed.
Nice,
looks like a good day.
