this is at the salvage Auctions here in Newcastle at the moment.
What a mess.
Hope the people involved where ok
looks like VWFools brothers old one. Same colour same area, just guessing.
Wow. Hope mine never ends up like that.
Theres a golf in a similar predicament in sydney.
but theres also a type 3 wagon in there that looks very drivable, just jump in and drive away. http://www.fowles.com.au/auctions/auction.aspx?auction=DSS131
theres also a honda S2000 with body panels that look straight but busted rear suspension.... with a car aligner I reckon you might be able to make money out of it. Wonder if its cheap enough to score the engine.
could salvage the fuel flap .... and thats about it
if they can sell the VW badge for $30k they might break even
You don't survive an impact like that... or the Golf
The NB looks like a train hit it?
owned by 1 little old lady..... who drove it off a cliff!!!!!
forget the watercooled stuff, they're dead, destined for the blast furnace, probably to be reincarnated as a ford or holden, or a nice bit of
colorbond fence if they are lucky.
I wanna know whos gonna save the poor type 3 wagon!
If I had the currency on hand I'd go up there and snap up the square in an instant....but alas I am poor so such will not be the case
Very nice looking square that is too!.... cant see any rust from the pix... and the only damage appear to be a slightly mangled rear bumper
What pisses me off no end though is that beautiful, immaculate Volvo 240 labelled as "STATUTORY WRITE-OFF, UNABLE TO BE REREGISTERED"!!!!!!
AAARGH!!!! :cry
It's sooo perfect... and a 2.3L too!
there is also a large bump in the rear (drivers?) guard on the type3 wagon, easy enough to fix though. teach the owner not to request salvage rights!
nah not my bros one, this one has exhaust, rims and different plates. my god thats a bad accident.
