What is the guess as to how much it will go for?

400, 500, 1000, 1500? With seven days to go I would think between 500 and 1000.

I'm no collector and if I had a spare 7 - 800 folding it would be a new quad rounded pin Friar Tuck for me!

"Honey they only last 18 months so I'm well overdue for a new one!"

Brendon speak to Rob Slater , he does Drift kneeboards , Ive left my quad behind Ive had Friatr Tucks from Parksie for 20 years he make great boards but i have gone back to a Thruster, which Rob made me and its very very good. BTW it has a Greenough Meschersmit graphic on the bottom in homage to George. Mitchell

Mitchell,
I've had both a thruster (rounded square 6') and a quad (fish 6') from David. Both excellent boards. Can not fault them. The quad especially is a rocket that turns on a dime. So until he fails me he gets my business.

Seen the surf forecasts for this weekend!! Woohoo!

Nearly A$200, that's already more than I would pay for it!
Not in great nick.
Did you see that GG designs Flextail a couple of weeks back? A ripper.
...and the Erle Pedersen jet bottom last week... I was about to bid up to $450 with 5min to go ( it was 250 at the time)
& it shot past me; up to $635... heh; oh well.

I can only hope it goes for somwhere between 500-1000...i have had it sitting around for years and have decided (or been told!) to clean the garage out so out the door a few boards go.

Lowrider,
Thats cool, no offence taken, some people will froth over it and others will just think it is ordinary...would be a borig world if we all thought the same.

Brendan,

BTW,
an early 80's looking FriarTuck quad on ebay too, now.
Looks like a Ponsford shape?

Brendan,
u2u sent & free bump for the kneeboard.

lowrider - July 18th, 2006 at 05:32 PM

Hey Brendan, still going to Valla?
We may just hop in the KG and go, with fingers & toes crossed (& a few tools on board)
BTW, I had a ride on a 'Blast' quad a few weeks back, in dribbly surf; it went a treat, I didn't want to get back on the 'Flashpoint'...

cheers,

andy

A mate of mine has this board sitting in his shed.
I think he'll get rid of it. If your interested I'll get more details.

That's classic!
it looks like a paipo, or bellyboard.
I'll pm you

Andy,
Unfortunately I found a lot more rust in the 71 panelvan than I was expecting. Currently there is no front skin on it and I'm working towards getting it back to it's former glory. Having said this the conversion has stalled and to make matters worse I haven't surfed in nearly 6 weeks!! Valla is out for me this year. Hope to get it on the road for the Old Bar weekend.

Regards

Brendan
