Hi, just wondering how many AVD members live in the northern territory. Reacently moved to alice springs and there are a few beetles and kombi's around but i never seem to see posts from people up here.

im usually up there at sometime in the winter but with out my car. i think bone collector is up there

I'm in Darwin...and will be passing through Alice next week...not in the bug unfortunately.

Lived in Darwin pretty well all my life and have never see Ayers Rock, so it's time to go. :thumb

Alice is a nice place too. I look forward to going on the ultimate aussie supercruise later in the year which converges on Alice from every capital city in Australia. 3 years ago there were over 300 cars there, which was cool, but not vw's attended...will have to change that

Welcome to the NT, I'm up at Gove at Yirrkala, top R/H of the NT with a '67 Splitty.

There's a few people around Alice into VWs, if you need any help finding a workshop etc, go and see the Canadian guy at Peter Kittle Toyota (spare parts manager) and he should point you in the right direction (if he's still there). If you need parts, it's easy to get stuff up from Adelaide overnight.
