Does this mean that if we walked in of the street we couldn't buy anything?

I have to ask as were going to Melbooring this weekend -you dont want to know why- and the resident Dragon Lady is bound to want to go clothes shopping sometime!!

Chadstone.. tell her to go to Chaddie... There's cinemas there too... so you can retreat to there while the Dragon goes and fulfils her 'appetite' for the retail...

PrettyBlueBug - April 5th, 2006 at 01:06 PM

Exactly right, can't sell to anyone off the street. It's too good for just anybody! :P LOL j/k

Dragon Lady huh? Awesome, I love dragons! ;)

And Melbourne's not that boring... although today is since I can't do any work at all.

This morning there was blue sky, gentle breeze, just beautiful. And now it's almost gale force winds, yukky grey/black clouds and hail and storms on their way... woohoo! :D

Softop - April 5th, 2006 at 01:07 PM

Too far and waaay too big :)
Were staying at the Novatel St Kilda so hopefully she'll be happy with the markets on the esplanade on Sun morn.
Entertainment? I'll be taking the Grandaughter From Hell to Luna Park!

PrettyBlueBug - April 5th, 2006 at 01:33 PM

Luna Park!!! :P

mscabrio - April 5th, 2006 at 01:45 PM

I wish I was at work (can't believe I am actually saying this!!!). I have been home since late last week after having an allergic reaction to the new flu vaccine (yes I am a responsible employee, protecting my patients and all .....). Now I am home bored out of my little brain but too tired and sick to do anything. Went shopping today and even looking at the new line of Bonds Hoodies didn't cheer me up!

PrettyBlueBug - April 5th, 2006 at 02:10 PM

You poor thing! :sniffle:
I can't have the flu vacc either being severe asthmatic, has given me attacks the last two times I tried it. :(

:sandrine Hope you feel better soon!

68AutoBug - April 5th, 2006 at 03:47 PM

Hi Laura,
I thought Asthma sufferers were No 2 on the list for flu vaccines... No 1 is for people over 60 [guess]
as You know if You get the flu.... asthma rears its ugly head....

I am an asthmatic, although its been totally under control for around 35 years.... and I keep getting new preventive inhalers every few years.... I took two different ones for many years... now only one is needed.... I Haven't used a Ventolin for many years..... don't carry one any more... I do have one somewhere.... in the house....
When I'm on the coast, I just increase My inhaler puffs ...
as the humidity affects Me.....
I was told as an Asthmatic I should have the flu vaccine every year... I did have one about 10 years ago....
It had no effect on Me.... and I didn't get the flu...
My Wife is a Nurse... they Have to have one now or they cannot work in a Hospital..... She had hers yesterday...

cheers Laura

Hey Lee!

Didn't know you're an asthma sufferer too, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I've had mine since before I was a year old, have had every liquid, capsule puffer and tablet under the sun for it too. :( Still need my Ventolin half a dozen times a day. At one stage I was on 5 different things, really sucked. I'd do anything to not need Ventolin, but the Asthma Foundation won't even let me be a guinnea pig for them as my asthma is 'too advanced'.... buggers. :P

Anyway, I'm still bored.... have no computers working STILL at work.... ho hum.... :fakesniff:

oval TOFU - April 5th, 2006 at 04:10 PM

Do ya excersise much? Doesn't excersising help asthma? I used to need a nebulisor in primary school for a little while.. but now i'm all good...

68AutoBug - April 5th, 2006 at 04:46 PM

Thats no good Laura...
I didn't get it, until I was about 10 years old....
When I was about 16, the Dr said I had to move away from the coast or I would die... as I was getting injections every few days... so I moved inland to an Uncles property in QLD and I was like a new person....
I then moved closer to the coast to work . where I did get asthma occasionally.... usually with a cold....
I then moved to where I live now - inland - and I only got it when I got the flu or a cold.... I used to hate it, when other employees would come to work with the flu.....
as it took Me about a month to get over it.... I used to get anti biotics every time.... but they didn't make Me better any faster... I find now when I get a snifle or sore throat, I take hand fulls of Multivitamins & Vit C tablets..
and I'm usually better after a couple of days in bed....
Do You know asthmatics have enlarged hearts Laura?
That is because of the strain We put on our hearts....
Sorry to hear You have it so bad....Laura,
Have You had any tests to find what causes you to have an attack....?

Lee

68AutoBug - April 5th, 2006 at 04:49 PM

Yes, exercising does help....
but if You have it bad like Laura, You cannot run or work out as You become breathless.....
so You try not to do much exercise , and You can breathe

its not a nice thing to have...

Lee

PrettyBlueBug - April 6th, 2006 at 08:45 AM

I excercise (gym) but the last 2 weeks asthma has been bad and haven't been able to go. I mean, I could easily go except the instructors make me sit down until I can breathe properly, except that doesn't happen very quickly. :(

Anyhoo, my damn computers aren't working again..... 2nd day with no work to do at work. How frustratingly boring!

:cry

killakornkobb - April 6th, 2006 at 08:48 AM
