lets talk bay kombi tyres...
Schmoburger - April 6th, 2006 at 12:29 PM

Anybody know if 215's can be mounted on standard width, standard offset late bay kombi rims... and if so, do they have enough clearance to avoid scrubbing in the arches and against the shocks?

at the moment I have 195's on the front and 185's at the back... :)

Cheers y'all

Shouldn't be a problem, get a secondhand one fitted and try it.

Cheers, Ian.

Hey!..great idea!..I just happen to have a spare rim actually without a tyre on it! :tu:

might be very tight on the inner guard. 195's a pretty good size anyway, need to be crazy to puch a kombi beyond the limits of a well made set of 195 car tyres.

yeah... just wondering cos I have an almost new set of 215's on the dunnuydore which is gonna get sold sometime soon..it'd seem a shame to sell it with a few hundred bucks worth of good hardly used rubber on it if it will fit on the bus.. :)

fair enough, pretty sure you will rub the inside or the rear guards, but worth a shot.
