i have been thinking of getting a sand blasting gun and was wondering if anyone has used them before and can recommened any brand in particular. i have seen both gravity feed and suction and was thinking that maybe gravity feed would be better. it is just for small panel work to get rust off and possible paint in hard to get areas
i use a small hand held sandblaster at work, when im painting engine bays/boot floors.. for thoes tight spots the clean and strip discs cant get to to
clean welds.. no idea of the brand, but its suction fed, it has a sock like bag filled with sand, and it just plugs into your air line. i just press
it tight against the surface to prevent sand going EVERYWHERE.
handy little thing
I got a gravity feed Snap-on one, it works great, although sand does go everywhere. Use good personal protective equipment though, cause sand in your eyes will always ruin your day.
Just out of interest what did you pay for the snap on sandblaster
They're about $170.

The best brand I have used is the Wurth one. It comes in a kit with all different shaped rubber socks which sit around the nozzle and create a seal
with the item you are blasting so it reclaims all your sand. saves your eyes and doesnt make a mess of your shed. Not cheap, but a true quality
tool.

There's a similar unit available for the Snapon one, too.
