Is anyone going to Barrington Tops this weekend with the KlubVWOffRoad club ?

All going well I'll be there Mark.

I've just dug out about 50kg of grease, mud, muck and dust and replaced it with new rubbers, wiring and fluids. If I don't turn up might be because of the piece I have left over.

Is the Barrington camp site a pubilc site of do I have to book / phone ahead.

Yep , I'll be there . Bronze , the reserve is a free one with no caretakers etc. Just run a spanner over the Manx so with any luck I wont loose any wheels or anything.Mark

Mark, do you have directions to the camp site ? They were on the KlubVWOffRoad website but that is having a holiday at the moment.

The turn off on the Pacific Hwy is 20km north of Raymond Terrace ,follow this road to Gloucester (80km) then follow the signs to Barrington which is 8km away . Go thru Barrington about 2 km and you will go over a bridge. The campsite is on the right with the enterance about 300m up the road . Seeya there . Mark

If i had my other bug together and on the road id take my daily hack, lift the adjustable suspension way up and come out there with you guys.
Sounds like a crap load of fun.
Hopefully when the 74 is back on the road i'll get the 72 fitted out for a bit of off roading.

Spoke to Randall today and he said him and Jill are coming.
Not sure if this is going to be a camp Friday night, pack up and drive Saturday and then camp somewhere different Saturday night or if we are going to complete a circle on the Saturday and come back to our original camp.

Mark , I had a note on the door when I got home. His coil packed it in and he didnt get up til Sat arvo . He couldnt find us and camped at Polblue . We'll see him at Stockton on the weekend.

Yeah - I'm heaps sorry I missed you guys. I got stuck at Merriwa Friday night and after breaking down the second time with the coil and the keycard dying as well I decided to sleep the night on the side of the road. Next morning I replaced the coil and had to go into Newcastle to get some money to get up to Barrington.

As I crossed the Bridge I was looking out to the left for the camp site and couldn't see it so headed on up to Polblue which is where i thought you might all camp Sat night. Got up there at Dark and had a great night, me, my boy a bottle of port and an aircooled machine next to the tent.

See you all at Stockton. Weather permitting I'm going to camp Friday night so I'll see you all then.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Bronze. Glad you had a nice time though. Barrinton sure is a nice place.
I am surprised you didn't see us at the camp on Saturday afternoon as you drove right by us. We thought you had just missed the turn and when you didn't come back Mark went looking for you.
