-Staggers.
Looks pretty damn spiffy...why not compare it against that T3 paintcode page..
Gulf blue i think.
Seems closest to Biscay Blue available only in '73... possibly Cobalt... a '69-'70 color.

much lighter
so im confused

Try this also,
http://www.hallvw.clara.net/vwpaint.htm
The pic looks like the promo one from around 1966 (caption under pic) when the F/B came out so it would be a blue from that period around the end of
1965. Could have been Sea Blue still in 1966 but most likely VW Blue 1966 to 1968.
See Dave Bs chart at http://www.type3registry.com/reg_paint.php .
The colours aren't that "true to colour" but the years should give an indication of what was used on those early Fastbacks.

Empi
Its VW Blue as per attached colour chip
the brochure is from 67-68 i think i havea copy of it at home somewhere the date is printed on the back of the brochure
thanks guys :bounce
Definatley isnt VW blue
mate had a 68 beetle with its original VW blau paint job and it was darker than that, same as daves paint chip
those old VWoA adds didnt always use aus cars
looks like it may even be left hand drive, different countries used different colours eg usa version of wattle was called texas yellow and is more
pale
vw australia shared the dulux range with toyota and nissan
how demeaning lol
