i find i spend just as much time checking the cars in the carpark as undercover..

t2 - April 11th, 2006 at 09:07 PM

me to , i am just alittle paranoid about my car if i had to leave it in the car park it will stay at home in the shed , there is way to many things on it that could easily be removed , at least in the undercover show part there is always someone watching, well most of the time

ask the crownie swilling madman he will tell you ,just enter it your van is way too nice to leave in the shed on nationals day

Daren dont you dare leave that beautiful bus at home . I am sure you can get a spot inside the paying area esp if youi are early I got a spot last year got there 8.15. no worries. Mitchell

you're too modest Darren - the award for most photgraphed debutant split at the Nats ... it's in the bag mate...I'd hire a bouncer for the day mate. But I would'nt leave it in the carpark ... stick it in the DSK area...

DSK will park together, ive never entered but parked undercover...will be safe around dsk

Hi,

If you wish to park undercover all you need to do is enter one show category. This will cost you $10 a category. A maximum of 3 categories are allowed on the day ie:$30 for 3 categories.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Leave it at home if you have to enter...but as dave has stated, you dont have to enter, but you can pay admission and park undercover, as last year, together as dsk

Edited by me, just seems some elements of the sydney VW community dont like others, and its very evident at the nationals...I'll u2u you dave about last year (out of respect for avd and not being negative)

Darren, if you have to enter (ive never entered and always parked undercover) then leave the bus at home, otherwise dsk should park together and keep an eye on eachothers rides...

i had a great day last year didnt have any hassals at all , this year should be better will have a the bus there

Ive though about this after my first post. Daren your bus should be there but (no offence) hey whats the copout re entering?
The show is put on by club VW and takes lots of effort and money you guys enjoy it and you want to go you want to have your bus seen but you dont?
Byronbus too your opinion is a copout you want to park under cover have your veh seen and save $10 or hijack the event by having your own show in the car park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!mate join in or dont.

just waying up my options , i may have other plans later in the day ,if i was to enter i thought it would be rude to leave early out of respect for those other entrants in the same catorgories . its nothing about the club or lack of support toward it. cant get enough of the nationals

waltermitty - April 13th, 2006 at 01:26 PM

fair enough Daren Hope to see you there. mitch

Some of the best cars are in the carpark...last year spent more time in the carpark than in the big shed...im happy to pay an admission fee, but i dont want to enter my car...
If its the nationals then other clubs should be encouraged to park together and have their own display...if its club vw show then fair enough, dave has told me what it costs, alot, thats fine...but i dont have to enter the judging...I dont even care if steve doesnt take a pic and put it on his website, he never has in the past...so as you say i chose not to join in... will visit but wont display my car

Dont get me wrong, love the nationals, a nice change from the shows up here, just dont know why there has to be so much politics, anyway all is good, enjoy

Hi Byron Bus

I try to take a picture of every car there, if missed yours it wasnt intentional. I have a few other things to do on the day but I give it a go.

The better cars being in the carpark issue is a hard one to overcome, any suggestions welcome.

Steve
