Dandy Mt.Dandy cruise... it happened! Sat 13th May

Figured we should start a thread for it, instead of hijacking Tofu's one in Members Rides... :P

It'll be on the Saturday 13th May. We'll all meet at FTG Maccas (Burwood Hwy) carpark at 4:30pm, and we'll be leaving at 4:50pm. Should be good!

So who wants to go? Let us know before the day!

I went up there today before the rain hit - when it was atually sunny.. gorgeous drive..

Just a suggestions as well, here's an extension of the dandy cruise that we didn't go on last time if you're interested..

Start at Ferntree Gully Filthhole, I mean, Maccas.
Continue east along Burwood Hwy
Turn left into Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd
Turn left into Ridge Rd
Turn left into Observatory Rd

Check out the sunset *hope it's a clear night!*

Continue along Observatory Rd
Turn left into Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd
Turn left into Sheffield Rd
Turn Right into Liverpool Rd

*There's a 'service rd' at that T intersection where we'll briefly pull over for a small breather and to say goodbye to anyone that want's to leave the convoy from there. For the rest of us who are keen:

Turn right into Canterbury Rd
Go straight at the round-a-bout
Turn right into York St
Turn right at the round-a-bout into Monbulk Rd
Turn right into Main Rd
Then right into Olinda-Monbulk Rd
Turn left into My Dandenong Tourist Rd
Turn right into Mountian Hwy

Then stop at Boronia Shopping Centre somewhere for final good byes

Christofu, that itinerary sounds terribly A-OK. I went up to Ferny Creek on Saturday in my PBB (drove from Murrumbeena) and the skies opened up and made for a very interesting and not too visible drive there and back! LOL

Maybe we should do something on Tues 25th as most people don't work? An Anzac Arvo Dandy Mt.Dandy Cruise....? :P

I just read the first post again...we should prolly start as early as possible to try catch the sunset which is at about 17:48 for that part of town... 40 mins to get up there from Ferntree Gully Macca's (with time to spare) ... that may be a bit early for ppl if everyone's working...
