Does anyone know this Oval?

It looks like the same car that was for sale last year at Roselands, but I'm not sure if it's still the same owner, or whether the new owner is
selling it.

I wouldn't say it's too much money....it's high end, but not obscenely. IRS pan, good paint, leather interior, 1600 tp, tuck away exhaust. Had all
the hard stuff done, just need to know if anyone knows it's history. A few things to change to my taste, but looks solid.

If you are going to be picky - it has the wrong steering wheel and tail lights. It has indicators nor semafores(sp - whatever!)
Too much money...... try and build it for that money. No way.
For a driver give me indicators any day

its a 71 chassis

my point was 10k seems a lot for this car when its bitsa.

For someone like me, I would gladly pay 10K for that over any stock oval.
If i bought a stock oval I would have to spend the same amount again to do exactly or similar to what this guy has done.
Comes down to your taste.

Very true but, if you spent all of that money on an oval, in a few years you may get that money back as it would depreciate far less than the non
genuine oval. Must admit though, I would be hesitant using a mint condition oval as a daily ride. Depends on whether you want your 10k invested in a
cool car used sparingly or a cool daily ride.

it was biult by dr lubes about 10 years ago,its been smashed repaired and hail damaged as far as i know its been through two owners since tony sold it
i looked at it when it was owned by the couple in peakhurst and recognised it straight away it was a nice job originally the car came from queensland
of a property in the sticks when ziggy was up there

Thanks Glider. That's the type of history I'm looking for. I acknowledge it's not original, but little things like that can be changed back, can't
they. ![:smirk: :smirk:](images/smilies/smirk.gif)

Not attacking you or starting anything...
There's heaps of ovals on later pans, coz they ride/handle better. There's a couple of killer cal lookers over here on IRS pans (any probably heaps
of others), does it matter?? They're nice cars, both show winners.
Steering wheel is a 10 min job to swap for an oval one, indicators not my style but they are practical. At least semaphores look to still be
there.
Gear stick looks like a straight one from a 54 if we are being picky. Yep maybe you could call it a bitsa but a least it's more tasteful than some
others you see. More practical for a daily than a 54 with heart tail lights, semaphores & 36 hp. Its got potential....

Hi
If I bought an oval, thats what I would most likely do to it anyway, looks like a good deal to me.

neither was i greg. i spose im of original is best way of thinking, but u make a valid point. one could do far worse things to an oval.rob.

There's always someone willing to pay, it's just a matter of time.
