Heres one for the musically oriented males on the forum... wondering what other dudes think of the up and coming new band Van She.... am I the only
guy who likes them... or are there other guys who think theryre awsome too?
This ones just for the guys by the way... I imagine most chicks would be all over them... at least according to Edward! :P
give us your thoughts and your votes!
WHO THE F*#K are they?????
good point... never heard of em! :duh
Dont dislike them but they dont really do anything for me either. It is very 80's like esp the sex city song.
They're playing at Wollongong Uni next week I think.
Really???..sweet!!!!!...open to all or just the uni-types?
And for those who don't know who the f*** I'm talking about.... the video for "Kelly" is here...

nah sorry dude... they seem like a wannabe copycat of The Shins... but not as cool
hey they dont sound to bad,but then again i`m a child of the 60`s and the 80`s is my style of music :thumb
i dont like the blonde dudes hair
first impressions... kinda like an 80's spoof band.... like the clip... bit damp though.... where was the full head on smash pash?..... they were
just pecking

kickass...might go up there if i can be bothered.
Umm they are OK. I dont really like 80's kind of retro bands. I went to uni with the drummer.
waaaaaaaaay to 80's for me :puke
the only good thing about the 80's was hardcore and no-wave
edit: OH! and that i was born :P

hehehe...I love teh 80's :P
I was in Oporto about an hour ago and they had continuous 80's shit on the plasme the whole time... Springsteen, Bowie, Brian Ferry, Blondie, the
Models... it was awsome!
might eat at Oporto more often hehehehe
I love the 80's for music, but just dont try to create rip off music in 2006. Unless its' a pisstake
hehe..are franz ferdinand what would be consisered a pisstake?... they seem so rediculous with a lot of there songs and vids, but with "This Fire",
it looks and sounds almost like they were trying to semi-authentically recreate early 80's style pop-music... and I reckon they did a pretty fine
job. Nice and 80's, but with enough modern influence to make it not seem stale or unoriginal.
just my bunghole... I mean... opinion. :P
I like 80's inspired, just not a straight up copy hehe
mmmm.. I dunno... I reckon Van She strike me as being a blend of 80's electronic pop, 70's surf tunes, and modern indy.... not a straight rip-off
really as such.
I'm just talking music-wise... as far as what they look like to the eye... yeh.. I think they are going for the 80's thing... maybe even a bit of
50's.... snazzy whichever way... but again... thats just my bunghole on the topic
Im more into em for their music... i like the retro-style... i listen to Roy Orbison and The Beatles more than anything remember!
