Windows multi user program access

I have MS Office on my computer, but when my daughter logs in (she has seperate account with parental controls n stuff on it) she doesnt have access to the office programs. She has the shortcuts in the programs menu but it wants to install them again. I know that when I install programs as the administrator it asks if I want to allow it for all users, but how can apply all users retrospectively?

I can temporarily change her to admin status and install but I dont want to take up another 15MB (1/3 my freespace) for something that is already there.

just a thought but I'm guessing its trying to install as there are no entries in ger profile. Grab beyond compare or windiff and check the differences between your accounts. I'll bet if you create the folders under C:\Documents and SettingsXXXX\Application Data\Microsoft that you might be right. If however there are registry entries then I don't know. However when it tries to install this is all it will be doing anyway, there is no need for it to reinstall the whole app so consider letting it complete.

what OS ?

If XP, fire up in your account, right click on icon (MS Office) and go to properties. Should open dialog box on the shortcut tab. Go to the advanced tab down the bottom and it should open another section of dialog box with a checkbox asking for permission to allow other users to run the program.

If win2k, someone else will have to help you, too many braincells have perished since those days...

w2k should be similair method, just more check boxes iirc.
