Mate, i know how you feel. Last Friday night i was heading into the city minding my own business when a cop pulled me over saying my car was unroadworthy. I had to give him my license and follow him to a street in Leichart when there was about 100 RTA and 50 cops doing defect inspections......After about 3 hours and 7 defects later i left.

The RTA guy was the biggest f*ckwit I ever met. A short fat man on a ego trip. Nearly all defects were standard features of my car!! The best was a defect#7 for "front of vehicle being too sharp". :duh

There are more important things to worry about in society than picking on people with modified cars!!

Oh that's right a Skyline with 10 inch monster tacho and shift light in the middle of the dash, with the drivers seat reclined until it toches the back seat, blue lights in the washer jets and the taillights covered with black contact would be fiiiiine.

I was almost pulled over by the cops in dads pontiac on the way to work, evaded the mothers... Anyway glad I didn't coz it has too many illegal mods to list (I.E: Supercharger, Height, No inner guards...)

Looks like the fun police are out in full force again. Been there and felt the pain. I had to raise my 65 beetle a whole inch to pass rego in the NT and I still scrapped on the guides as I drove over.

Kimm at Indian got done a few years ago on the run up to Valla in his ute for being too low. Kinda saw it as confirmation of what he already knew, made the trip all the more rewarding.
