Hi
The SP had a tuned motor, thats where Kadrons and SP cams came from.
We have club member that wrote a couple of stories about South Amercan VWs.

cool photos from the '70's! That munga has to be the ugliest thing i've ever seen
the rearend looks like like the old 80's porches....or just a rejected porshe.
Those headlamps are called after the fellow who designed them....
They were used on the 412s and many prototypes....
They made many Variants in Brazil....
They made a Beetle engined car that looked like a small
type 3..... I always wanted one....
but the last time I saw one [on the net] it was all rusty etc... it was called the Brasilia...
so, VWs aren't treasured in Brazil.....
they are like Commodores..... LOL
same in Mexico.....
:Lee
there was an earlier version called the puma they lookeed
even better there is one in oz a bloke had it for sale at bori's picnic day about 5 years ago for about 15 grand
Yes I saw the Puma at the Nationals years ago...
Here is a pic of the Brasilia...
Front of a 412... same headlamps.... again
rear like type 3 variant...
Now they would have sold in Australia
... sold over a Million in South America and African countries...
This must be a South Africian model as its Right Hand Drive
made from 1973-1982...
