Karma - it really does work!
ratty 63 - May 15th, 2006 at 06:14 PM

Last week (Monday) I woke to find my '66 sunroof beetle, which is parked on my front lawn, covered in egg. As I work evenings I discovered this little problem at about 11am - after the car had been sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. I washed off the offending shrapnel, assessed the paint damage as minor and was thankful that this car is still listed (on my 'things to do' list) as a future project. Upon going for a drive through my suburb, I also discovered my car was not the lone target for these animal produced projectiles - almost every vehicle within throwing range of the main road had been hit. I dismissed it as a random attack...

Then, on Thursday, I returned home from work just after midnight to find the car covered in egg again. This time it was fresh as the egg shell was still sliding down the side of the Bug. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it wasn't just a passing car and their egg throwing occupants - I figured that it had to be someone who had a reason to come down our street. As I had turned into our street I had noticed a couple of just licenced kids hanging around their new (to them) car - remember that this was just after midnight on a Thursday (a school day), so I took a wander down the street to see if they saw anything. As I approached, they were all standing with their backs towards me, looking under the bonnet, and I heard one of them say '...at least I didn't hit any cars with the ones I threw'...then they noticed me behind them and everyone went quiet.

I asked a few questions as to whether they had seen anyone/anything, but of course they hadn't :duh

I returned home wondering what I could do about it... the initial thoughts of covering their car in egg, expanda-foam in the exhaust pipe, flat tyres every morning for weeks, etc went through my head, but I decided that it wasn't worth the effort/expence (I must be getting old! :D) and I would just see what happened in the future....

Then, on Saturday morning, as I was leaving the street I found this parked on their front lawn - looks like Karma really does work! Ouch! :o

Not certain, but whatever it was had square edges and was made of concrete as there is still concrete dust in the ... er... dent (does that qualify as a dent? :duh)

Possibly a overpass bridge support...of course they would have had to have been travelling backwards 'fairly' fast....

Oh! Yes! Karma is real and it works. Now add insult to injury. Throughly egg it, or alternatively, fill a water pistol with brake fluid and give it the works. That is not bad karma on your part. The car is probably a write off, so it's a bit of harmless fun with a message attached.

I love it. Just goes to show that Karma really does work.

I now know why I never leave my car on my front lawn at night.

CAFFINEPUSHERMAN - May 15th, 2006 at 09:10 PM

karma my ass revenge makes me hard ,next time just pour a bottle of brake fluid on said enemies roof by the time they wake up in the morning mothers little helper would have done her job keep on pushing

VW 1, Honda 0. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Personally, I think your car has gone around and smashed their's up Herbie style. Listen out for any odd knocking sounds from your fuel tank...it might be a huge diamond. ;)

MickH - May 15th, 2006 at 09:42 PM

now if you had slashed their tyres and filled their exhaust with expander foam no concrete would have gotten hurt!!!:lol::lol::lol::punk:
