here's a little gadget that supposed to be used to drain the water from your fishtank. but when my camper had a fuel tank blockage i used this to dislodge the foreign particles . i gained access through the engine compartment right hand side there's a inspection plate that you can remove to get to the fuel rubber fill hose . disconnect the worm clamp pull rubber hose of filler neck , then i slid a mtr and a half clear rubber hose inside take which is connected to the in side of the gadget . on the out side of the cadget another piece of clear rubber hose is connected this drains the fuel into a container that i slid a pantyhose over to collect contaminates . the fuel can be reused for the vehicle or kept for the mower .
remember we are talking flamable liquid here so i used a battery drill no sparks no kaboom . the drill is used in a clockwise direction to turn the impellor . i found it filled a ten ltr container in about 30 sec , and sucked out bits of rust and other odd bits . and by the way after slidding a long piece of gal wire down into the tank i also fished out a rag that must of been used as a petrol cap . oh by the way the gadget was purchased at bunnings in the tool section for twenty bucks . hope this helps anyone as i couldnt handle having to remove my kombi mtr just to sort a fuel blockage out .
