My favourite pic of the night!
Had a world cup worthy ball!
Thanks Nick, we HAVE to do this again. Maybe once every 2 months or so?
Loved meeting all you AVD guys. And 66deluxe, please take no offence as none was intended. I'm with you in dislike, I just don't like the word
"hate". It takes me a lot of work to hate something.
My wife Ani says your idea of a "cook up" sounded well wicked. How does a day at Orleigh Park on the river sound? If you can be convinced to do
the cheffin', hows about we organise a price per head for a select menu and make an event of it. I am more than willing to help with the logisitics,
and I'm sure it would be a great event.
BTW, Nick, you'd better watch out, as Ani has already lined up half a dozen chickys she wants you to meet, as she says you're way too hot to be
single!
Cheers all and looking forward to the next 'Unofficial meet"
Ya 'aa 'tey
Mick.
BTW, 66D, Ani says that you even made cabbage sound appetising, so you must be one hell of a chef!
And Lee, if you ever want to sell your bug, you've got a buyer in my missus. She couldn't stop talking about the green South African and yours! She want's them both!
First thing i was told when i started my apprenticeship in cooking was that the apprentice must be better than his master, i snatched the pebble from his hand in the first 6 months, now i am repeating that with my apprenticeship in aviation wil be finished by the end of this month, just over 2 years. And yes a cook up would be well wicked. As for last night i enjoyed it and meeting everyone, just can't stop laughing at the neons. When we left on the cruise did you hear the fools paying out on us as we left, just wait till my build is finshed, there will be silence from the non believers.
Last night a mate rang me and said that there was a hot rod get together at the WOW sight and sound at Rothwell carpark first friday of every month, will check that out also.
'Paying out'
It's called jealousy, we were there with our German family, they were most likely there by themselves, in an old Commodore or something.
One guy said "Ooh neons, you know that neons mean you have to do a big burnout"
Yeah, sure mate... Go tug ya fathers *Cough Cough*.
Critisism doesn't affect me, for I'm in bliss when I hear the Dak Dak of a congregated mob of dubbers...
I only worry about spending five dollars on petrol to go cruising all night... NOT!
Ahh... The joke's on them...
-Staggers.
Most of the detractors appeared to be from the about 14 yo "My dads got a HSV V8" crowd. And who gives a tinkers cuss about some randoms opinion!
Excactly, but hey HSV? Pfft!
Try my dad's V12 Jag, V8 Cougar, Supercharged V8 Pontiac... Man there's too many to list.
Just a pitty I don't have a camera anymore, otherwise I'd have taken a few pictures too.
-Staggers.
hello all!
thanks to everyone that showed! had an unreal night!
apologies about the unofficial cruise - fkd up big time - my bad. was good everyone sort of came together in the city.
ended up parking on george st for a quick 45min rest lol but was well worth the dramas. only then did i regret wearing my pjs...
definately have to do this again - loved meeting everyone behind the avatar - i think next time ill leave notes on the many other hot dubs you see
round brisbane ie: the few on 19"s and those with subis etc as they musn't be on the forum...
again - many thanks
unofficially - bond
nick
