I have this vague memory from a long time ago, about finding a website... no not the sort with fleshy bits. It was a site where you could register and pick up lifts over long distances. And people who for example bought a car in melbourne and wanted it transported to brisbane but didnt want the expense, and didnt want to drive. They would offer their car to someone else who needed to get from A to B.

Was talking to a guy who had done this in Canada. People on west coast would drive over to the east coast (and vice versa) for a holiday and didnt want the 5 day drive back. So they advertised their car for hire. All he had to do was pay $20 insurance and fuel.

Does anyone know of such a website here in Australia? Maybe the one I saw was overseas. I cant find it, dont even know what words to put in google.

i can make one, the only problem with australia vs us is the cost of fuel.... its cheaper to fly!
