Use to do a lot of touring - but that was a while ago now.

My bike is a REAL bitza.
Started out as an Inner City Cycles tourer. Think i have the rear cluster wheel guard thing left.

I like to say its a de Rosa now..... well the forks are. The rest of it is custom.

I used to have a jim bundy frame with campag parts zeus hubs, galli rims. Sold it years ago. Now I've got an old Cannondale. Hey Barry I always wanted a de rosa. at least you've got a bit of one..

Oh, and I just bought Jak's old mountain bike. FUN

dont get out enough anymore, but still have a few bikes for the occasional ride: '78 Schwinn Spitfire, mildly modified, absolute pig to ride; '76 Myer Speed extra long frame 3spd, bog stock, surprisingly good to ride; Magneet from the 1940s with flip-flop hub, stock except the seat; Norco Kockanee, maybe 7years old now but still a ripper; Hustler Custom SS; completely modified, now isnt that a name for a bike!!!

yeah used to muck around on a haro bmx. been thinking of tidying it back up and getting out to the local track again for some playtime

I ride. I was out for an hour this arvo riding around trying to loose weight again. I've got a Fuji Sunsport I bought late last year. It's good bang for buck, a middle of the range budget mountain bike. I've not done much to it except for a set of street slicks, some bar ends and some road shoes and cleats. It's good fun and get's me away from my desk. I just wish my left knee didn't start complaining after an hour in the saddle. Otherwise I could go all day.

what pedals are you running pete? could be not enough float causing your knee problems.

I've shimano "look" style cleats. I doubt it's the bike. I've had knee issues on and off for years. Jacking up the seat fixed them a little but in reality I think I'm just falling apart. I had a bike tech look at me seated on the bike during it's last service a month and he said all the angles were right, so I just treat my knee with respect. It was better today than it's been in the past.

Was a pushie courier for over 3 years, both here and back in Scotland, but since quitting my fleet has shrunk:
my Mountain bike is a Kona Unit single speed that I do 8hr and 24hr enduro's on
and my roadie is a Cannondale R800, with a few wee upgraded bits.
Fixed gear in about a hundered bits and vairous other frames lying around...
Try and do at least 30k's a day commute to work and back, and a decent run on saturday mornings, would do more but just to lazy!

Yea I have a Keewee DH bike that I ride to work and most weekends, when the single ring gets to much I have a old Giant ATX or my VTR if its got two wheels I'm interested.

I used to ride alot of street bmx, but when i left school i gave it up because i was always so busy with work. A few months ago i tryed to get back into it by buying a DMR mtb, after many broken parts i sold it because it was costing me so much. Everyone i know whos into mtb always seems to be breaking them. BMX is so much better, the bikes are almost bullet proof lol.

Got a Hopkins track bike with sprinters bars, a Alu Look for the road and a few other old frames hanging about that I can't use anymore because of the rules about 'tyres the same size!' (ones a road time trial bike the other is a Colnago Master track)

very much a two wheeler here

ive got a red raleigh m200 that i used to use as a daily commuter, with panniers and the lot... now i just use it on weekends when i have time to ride it on trails and terrorize joggers on the bike way.

i also have a red vmoto milan 50cc scooter which has now taken over as my daily commuter, which is good because i can overtake traffic and have a horn (and USE IT!) now.

just to nip that cycling bug i have... i went out last week and bought one of these:

which is completely different to anything ive ever ridden, and feels like im gliding more than riding. im digging it

friends think im a bit obsessed... i have a red beetle, a red scooter and two red bikes.

saving up for a kona or yeti XC MTB, preferably in red :P

555bug, you ride a DH bike to work?! i hope you dont live far from work, or have many hills to climb :P

i always found it amusing when my friend rode his DH bike home with me (on a hardtail) of an evening... all the way up those huge hills in paddington... so much rear travel makes for a challenge!

Pete, float is how much your foot can moove on the pedal befoer unclipping, some pedals allow more float than others, Look and Time are some of the best for knee saving float. I use Time for knee reasons.
Buzzbug, how does the softride , er, ride!?

Oh and Starbug, yeti's dont come in red! The arc hardtail comes in race green anmd the 575 is either, green, orange,silver or black. And the only red Kona in the 06 range is the Cindercone.
(We sell yeti's and Kona at the bike shop that I mechanic at)

I have to move my feet a lot before they come out of the cleats, so I guess there's plenty of float.

hipchic: umm... purple? its probably red :P

fireball: the AS-R sl comes in red... saw one of the frames in that nice turquoise colour they have at one of the local bike shops... i think i prefer the turquoise to tell the truth. bah... i need a bit of variety in colour schemes
the 575 is schmick, but alas small is too big for a person of my stature

by the way starbug, the yeti hardtail (ASR i think??) comes in red, i know a guy who has one.

Ok, just spoken to the Yerti importer and the only red yeti avilable is the asr sl in red on 06/07.

Well dont ride it much but do look at it alot.

Also have a Merida Matts speed pro disc MTB pretty light made from magnesium.

get a physio who is into bikes to help you set up for your shape, will be worth at least whatever it costs. Will stop you from injuring yourself pedalling, not falling off though!

me has more pushies than VW's which is saying something! road race through to down hill and plenty of variants inbetween. Mostly high end shimano, but a big mix really. Use them more than my VW's most weeks also!

Less motor bikes than VW's though thank god
