No.
Only if YOU have a problem with it being a '65.
Other than that there's just no point.

nah i like it being a 65 the only thing i prefer is the popes nose style number plate light but i cant see me taking away from the originality of the car just over the rear number plate light.

leave it ,paint it ,then start on an early ,then ya got it all:beer:beer:beer

do what you want. that's a subtle mod, but one that won't detract from the car. I'm sure there are other mods you are doing too so why not.

and while your there, put a whale tail on it for that real period feel

paint up both a popes nose and a standard one, then you can pick and choose.
paint 2 engine lids too so that the holes are right for each.

thanks for the opinions people i think ill just do another decklid with a popes nose that way i can swap em when ever i feel like it.

Popes noses rock. would look dead ugly on a pope, but on a dub, classic.

I got one with the number plate light on a baja rear scoop thingy. well, its not a scoop, but sits across there like a shortened decklid. Very classy! Go for it mate. Listen to the inner voice.
