Planned to do some maintenance to the commodore but the boss had to go to byron and balina, so thought I play with the bus.
Our bus is pretty much a weekender. Had been getting a flat battery lately, Mmm I"d even checked output from the alternator and had the battery load
tested after charging :o .
Pulled the stock airfilter off and found something very ugly (pic 1). These wires had been installed by prevous owner/s, it was the wire that links
the altenator to the battery.
What gets me is that for $2.90 for the wire I eliminateed the need for the joiner and used 8mm not 2 x 2.5mm wires. Then why stop there so replaced
the rest of the wires connected to the altenator and regulator. Then wrap them all up in spiral wrap.
So just another reason why I don't like the mechanical joiners love the smell of solder.
