I saw a feature on this car in in Hot VWs a while back with 2 turboes and 16valve heads. This is company that makes the setup. Pricey, but not bad for what they are really.

might be OK for a 8 sec drag car. Next to no cooling.
Wonder what they use for pushrods....

Mitsubishi Lancers had 16V SOHC circa 1993.

I just love how much money the air-cooled purists will spend to hot up their motors

They reckon they have street heads with more cooling fins on em. And the pushrods are prolly just chrome moly jobbies, they don't have to run heaps of lift due to the increased valve area so the pressures on them wouldn't be a great deal more than standard. No need for high lift cams so they say reckon.

Yes, and subaru had a boxer with 16valves, DOHC and a turbo in 90. Porsche had DOHC in the late 50s. What do you mean?

MM: you're bang on the money with that comment. I got a whole motor with those stats for $700 cheaper. I'll give you a hint, it's not aircooled. :P

bloody subarus :grind:

Evil things they are!!!

all these subaru conversions are almost making me want to build a hot aircooler now :p

^ Don't do it man, you'll be lucky to get out of it for less than $50/hp. And the more power you want, the more it costs exponentially. And as soon as you build the big HP VW motor, you better start saving for the rebuild. :(

yeah i suppose so. and seeing as i already have a ej20t with adaptor plate and flywheel it seems more viable.

anyone had any luck getting in contact with vforce lately as i am still waiting on my big front brake setup that i ordered a couple months ago.

tried calling them with no luck.

I spoke to them not so long ago, I also know Richard's just come back from overseas, so that could be why.

What they use for pushrods? Pencils? Nah they use 'stock' rods.

Also Lancers had the SOHC 16V, but these aren't OHC!

:P

Sorry just in a shit stirring mood.
