NEW BEETLE CRUISE FIT UP?

HAS ANYONE FITTED AN AFTER MARKET CRUISE CONTROL TO A MANUAL NEW BEETLE?? NEED INFO ON WHO DOES THEM. GOT IN CONTACT WITH MY LOCAL BLOKE AND HE DOESNT KNOW MUCH ABOT THEM.

any mechanic should be able to fit a cruise control kit... most are able to be fitted by you if the instructions are detailed enough.
I think from memory the hardest thing to do was fix the magnets to the drive shaft and fit the pulse sensor.

I have fitted two of these kits to cars I have had but never to a VW.

The kits are fairly simple but require a bit of thought on fitting.

Any mechanic or hady person could fit one. Took me a good 1/2 day to fit it all nicely.

The kits I have used were very generic and could fit any car.


The system disengages when the brake pedal was pushed, if it was being fitted to a manual I would suggest an extra swith to disengage it when the clutch is pushed as well, to avoid over reving the engine.
