Basically wanted to know if they fit easy enough (width etc) I know I'll have to adapt them in , I'm mainly concerned with the dimensions of the
seats and clearances etc.
Seats look like this

yeah I know a bloke with some in a Country Buggy
baja wes has a set in his baja
Barls is correct.
They fit very nicely, and are excellent seats. I picked mine up for $150 the pair.
This is my old dash, before the V6 went in, but the photo shows the gap left between the seats for using the handbrake
I know of severaL people who have used that type of prelude seat they seem to fit real well and are comfortable. and look good..'
yeah mate, i have them in my 68. makes the trips up to forster so much more nice. they fit in really easy. I work for honda, and this is the second vw i have put them in.
i put prelude seats in my super they fit well and are very comfortable, when i did mine i set them up on a double slide so you could slide them back
untill they touched the back seat or forward to the firewall
murray
yep i had them in my old baja, nice fit:thumb
Thanks all, looks like they get the green light then, cheers for the info & pics , much appreciated.

56astro you will have U2U shortly
Sorry for hijack SAS...
How hard is it to modify them to fit??
Edith may need some new seats, so I am looking at alternatives for her....including modifying some. I can ask some one at work to help (if I beg)
but I'm wondering about whether or not they need an engineers cert as well. Any one know?
It becomes so confusing after a while...
yes they do need an engineers, and before anyone says just do it with out remember that the insurance company will wipe your policy in the event of an accident if the can find the slightest error on your behalf
They fit nicely in a Ghia too
