53racer - July 24th, 2006 at 02:05 PM

My bugs windows have scratches on them, not deep, but noticeable, and i cant tint my windows without getting them repaired/ if possible.

It looks as if a diamond ring has scratched into the glass when they were being cleaned.

need them if the procedure is right.
filled, polished and tinted.... or skimmed and tinted.

anyone recomend a good place to do so?

I'm in sydney.

Replaced is the only real way to get your glass spot on. We have had a single scratch cut & polished out of a window ($130 window) and it cost about $60. The main problem is that the cutting and the polishing both create heat. A heat spot if too hot will shatter a window, so therefore it is a very slow process.

slow, but did it work?

Yep. 1 hour to do 1 scratch about 30mm long.
