To be honest I can't really give a good perspective on this one although I did enjoy what I saw. Whilst I got to spend most of the day at the Bug-In on Saturday including the cruise, a previously made lunch committment on Sunday meant I didn't get to the Nats until the arvo about 2.30pm or so

What this meant that was with so many cars on display, I felt I was really rushed to see them all and hardly had a chance to look at the spares and wares etc.

Also it meant I didn't get to catch up with everyone. Saw a few familiar faces from the Bug-In but couldn't spot a large congregation of forum members. Guess that probably happened earlier in the day. I did get to meet Jay (and yes the kids have worn the clothes already thanks and love them) and a few friendly people from Flat Four.

Anyway, hope spend more time there at the next one. Again as with my Bug-In post, please find some pics for your viewing enjoyment. Tried to include a cross-section of VWs so hopefully something for all tastes!!

Nice pics again mate. I was actually going to ask if you wanted the duplicate thread deleted, until I realised that thre are two reports, one for the Bug-In as well. Keep em coming!! :thumb

Good to see a kombi owner behind the shutter, especially since all the pics from last year, bar one, were of beetles.

I'll correct that before someone does it for me.

It was last years bug-in that there was one kombi pic, there was a few from the Nats.

KruizinKombi, I thought people might think they'd seen the same thread twice hehe so I tried not to duplicate the VWs that I saw on both days to get as many different pics as I could.

Spook, I love to take pics of the buses! Unfortunately we are always outnumbered and there's alot of work I admire in the Bugs too, luckily these shows gave me a chance to get a few pics of all types

BUG11Y, no I didn't show mine. I love it and can't see myself giving it up but I don't see it as a show VW but mebbe I'm just being silly! Hopefully people will just get to see it in more informal environments. When I look at the ton of work in some of the other VWs I think, now that's a show car!!

BennettonVW I love you're car I put a picture of it in my Bug-In thread but I tried not to duplicate the VWs across both days, no offence intended

Talking about nice VWs, Dave I got to have a good look at both your bugs at the Bug-In and think I snapped a few shots for the Bug-In thread also. Wanted to say a quick hi to you on the Saturday but you were always busy chatting with other peeps, guess that's the price of fame I'll just be content with the friendly nod and g'day I got when passing by.

Don't usually do this, but there is none of my car at the Nationals, so here it is..

No probs Dave, neither did I and as I was saying to someone at the show, I made an effort to actually take pics of MY car this time.. As I said, don't usually do it, cause it is outside , but then people wanna see it and the pics are handy..

Watched the GP at Panthers. Man that is a nice place, and a great place to stay for future reference.. Had 1 or 2, and got 5 hours sleep and then drove from 8am to 5pm... Fun.

I did drive out to Panthers to drink with the Victorians...hung around the sports bar and had a couple by myself watching the cricket highlights. No one showed up so i went home!

Chris passed on the message from Jay later...they went back for a sleep in the arvo, the show had tired them out!!
