Wot are they like 30/35 series tyres?

Kippa-Dee - August 1st, 2006 at 06:01 PM

That is insane!

Doug Sweetman - August 1st, 2006 at 06:29 PM

wheels = yuk

Audi V8 midmounted = very nice :)

pete wood - August 1st, 2006 at 06:31 PM

ok, that is just stupid. there's no need for anything that big on a bug. even JVL only has 19 on his and that's silly enough. The wheels and tyres probably weigh more than the rest of the car.

mscabrio - August 1st, 2006 at 06:37 PM

That is just mad! I wanted 20 inch wheels on my bug and was a bit dissapointed that I had to settle for 18's

Oasis - August 1st, 2006 at 06:40 PM

Why?

Fireball xl5 - August 1st, 2006 at 06:52 PM

just looks wrong!
Whatever happened to the sleeper look?

DUB54V - August 1st, 2006 at 07:55 PM

thats nucking futs....but thos wheels do look a lil outa place..il just stick to 17s at the front n 18s at the back.if he wants me to have them brakes i wont complain!

ColumBUS - August 1st, 2006 at 07:57 PM

sitting sky high... ahh the stupidity...

the rims are big...

but mid mounted v8....is this an Australian project?
What chasis does it run?

I found these plans through a ebay add...
http://www.rorty-design.com/content/beetle.htm

you can build a awesome chasis/suspension/engine package and put a rat beetle body on it...
I'd probably go turbo suby - low centre of gravity and smaller/lighter than V8...
