and those spelling mistakes are intentional. That way, they cant be sued for copy rights...or copywrites

A bit like when we use Japanese characters as a fashion thing, or even worse , a tattoo. Imagine what they are thinking when your tattoo reads, "Soft soup, Cuts grass desk top publisher".

wish i could find the beetle one again, that was a ripper, it was a late 50s bug with a caption for a 72 bug which was somebodys classified add!

They must have thought that VWs still all look the same
no matter what year model...
Or if in China, Have never seen a beetle...?

I saw some pics of the signs in China, as they get ready for the Olympics...

It looks at though they are translating the Chinese/mandarin etc straight into English..

and then add all the spelling mistakes...

so, many signs will have to be repainted...

thats if they can find someone who knows Engwish !!:P:P

reading old Jap car manuals is always a laugh, one of my favorites from an old datsun roadster repair manual was a photo of the 'locker cover'

i work on korean appliances ,they have great service manuals and fault finding guides whitch usually have a list of parts that MAY BE TROUBLED
big improvement on the italian stuff that is only in italian and fax copy.
