Yer Adz love um have a 1970 Triumph Tiger with about 9000ml on the clock and wouldn't mind getting a vespa or lambreta scooter. Have had heeps of
bikes all the big jap bikes from the 80's to 90's have been in my shed at some time or another. Use to ride my dads GPZ 750 to school when I
was 15 no licence.
The downside is that I've been hit by to many cars in my life to care a great deal about it now days hence why the trumpy has so few miles on
her.
Cheers Nige:thumb
It's only in the last few years I even got into these 4 wheel contraptions
I've had (and still have) every thing from and XR75 through to a S2 Ducati and heaps in between.
So I'm into both dirt and road bikes. I have done much more road riding though.
My current mount is an '83 R100RT (two wheeled arm chair).
And that's not to mention all the various push bikes I have. :thumb
I have a K1200RS BMW, I've had my fun now I need some money to pour into my bus, so I'm selling it. Any offers?

These bikes stick in my memory the most.
Most forgetable: my rat bike- a Honda CB125- when it rained, it came out. Bad move! It had a CABLE operated front disc. Feel?? What feel? Coupled with
a "Nippon Slip-on" front tyre with straight grooves, you only had to think about grabbing the front hook hard & it would lock up.
Most beautiful: a Honda VFR 750- 1986 the all-white one- stunning! I wrote it off one night on the Arthur's Seat road.
Most Brutal: a Kawasaki GTR 1000- heavy as lead until you got to grossly illegal speeds.
Most Scary: Suzuki GSXR1100H. This thing would do nearly 90km/h in 1st gear & there were 4 more gears.
Most Nimble: Honda NSR250x2 A Repsol & a Rothmans Special. The quickest responders to counter steering on the road? I will also never forget the
exhaust smell from using Castrol R synthetic oil in the (2-stroke) tank.
Most safe: an ex-cop BMW K100RT. Up to this bike, I assumed every time I mounted up, I drew on a cloak of invisbility. Not with this M/C! Coupled
with a white helmet & a navy leather jacket everyone just seemed to get out of the way. Fast.
Most comfortable: my current mount- a BMW R80RT. Simple, sturdy, adequate power-a gem!
My choice would be a Ducati - something old (affordable) and nice exhaust note.
But all I have is Bicycles, mountain bike/Alloy racer.
I need the exercise after all this sitting at computer
Go Vespa's:bounce
Haven't got a real one yet but have a toy collection happening
The scooter shop has not had any nice old ones since early new year He did
reduce a couple of reproductions by a couple of thou$'s
Ive got a money pit Honda XR500R sittin in the shed. Been into trial bikes since I was a teenager (thats about 75years to you 14YO)
Got a '43 BSA WM20, 500cc single pot. Need to pull it apart and service it and get it re-registered.
And as per OvalGlen, got a very nice road bike (bicycle) that I try to ride to work faithfully (I've been very unfaithful lately) and a track
bike for racing around in circles :bounce
Penguin
Very Nice BSA.. Penguin.
Would you happen to have pic of your track bike ?
-
I used to have one too.(but was better on road circuit.)
I havent had M/Bike but my two cents worth,
Go to the closest Motor Bike wreckers and put a special together ( good 250 motor)on frame that you like and set that seems to suit to you.
Yeah I'm dreamin again.
Check the trade post.
Adz, if you are looking at road bikes and moneys no object go the Aprilia.
Trail bikes its Honda all the way for mine.
Started when I was 13, now 35, last bike was over twelve months ago, below is a couple of them,

This was my company ride while working for a Bike shop. For some reason that did not let me keep it when I left......?:cry
14yrold,
I would love to ride a m'bike but my olds and my partner would freak! everyone went crazy when my brother got his, which he sold yesterday, I
nice cherry red GN250, He had no complaints about that!
also motorbike dude here. zzr 600, yoshi exhaust.. and i thought my dub was loud blew a way a fat bastard on a zx6 other day
stan pobjoy used to be a pretty psycho bike rider too... in fact he shoehorned a dub engine into a drag bike a couple times :thumb can we say
'power to weight ratio'? for a learner bike can't really beat the humble gn250, but it doesn't really have a lot of road presence
whatever you get, make it LOUD so ppl driving volvos don't try and assimilate you :o
Anybody interested in purchasing a set of Dainese Leathers???
as pictured. Cost around $2000
hey kombi kid
for a first bike you cant beat a honda xr 250 ,94 onwards i,ve had a few of them ,reliable ,cheap ,go great ,best thing on your L
plates and you would have great dirt riding as well up your way
david:o:o
Learned to ride on a Vespa when I was 8.
Had the obligatory XR75, a Suzuki TS 100, a TM 400 hurricane.
Bought a GS 400 in 78........still got it...
