VW Warwick Drags - Last week for pre-entries
VWMA Editor - August 28th, 2006 at 09:04 PM

Hi Everyone,

This is the last week for pre-entries for competitors.

Entry forms are at the website http://www.vwma.net.au  and click on the Warwick banner.

A special thankyou to Adam Debiasi and Richard Newbury for coming all the way from Adelaide for the event. This type of effort helps put the Warwick event and others like it in good shape for the future.

LATE BREAKING NEWS: The Warwick Dragway Association has approved the running of registered VW Trikes. Riders must wear full leathers, gloves, boots and helmets, and the trike must pass scrutineering. An ANDRA day licence will be issued for the weekend.

As this is very late notice, late entries for trikes will be accepted at the pre-entry fees up until September 22nd. Please pass the word around.

Cheers
Craig

Hey Craig - did you receive my pre-entry? Just thought I'd double check it wasn't lost in the mail!

G'day Craig

Just checking you got mine as well???

Just for an appetiser - pending how many competitors you've got any chance of a list of names to date, what car they are in and their estimated times??

Getting very pumped!!

Cheers

Brad

Yep Brad, all received. Gate passes for all teams will be sent out in the next two weeks.

Next week I'll post the full list of pre-entries. I won't have times for everyone though, as some haven't raced before.

The Warwick Daily News is running a page 3 story on the VW Warwick Weekender and on Rod Penrose's 1/8th mile record attempt in tomorrow's edition (31st August).

If you know someone in the Warwick area, you might ask them to grab you a copy. I'm having a few set aside for me at the council.
